I'll rebuild a new tail plane with a symmetrical section if I can get some idea of the full size section. So the only way to sort the fus was to cut it up, including the crutches and save the formers to rebuild it from scratch- which I'm about to do. The Flair kit is built around a pair of crutches, so even after I'd removed all the stringers I couldn't straighten it as it was held by the crutch. It looked bad at first sight and I thought I could straighten the fus by removing all the stringers, pulling it straight and refitting new stringers to hold it square.
